These are some of my favorite local places to eat in Maryland. My go-to list. To get on this list, you have to be A+, all the time.
Olney Grille
Best place in Olney, hands-down. A local place that is frequented by everyone who lives here, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to see someone you know. But the reason we all go here is the food. Mouth-watering rolls to start. Don’t miss Dan’s Crab Bisque– best creamy crab soup in Maryland. And I live in Maryland.
Facci
Owned by a true Neapolitan, this has the best and most authentic pizza in the region. A-Maz-Ing. The original location is in Maple Lawn, and the second is in Turf Valley. Awesome wine list. Love all the pizzas, especially the Bianca Neve- white pizza with ricotta, fresh mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto and shaved parmigiana. #YUM
China Jade
Located in a Rockville strip mall on the corner of Shady Grove and Crabbs Branch, this Chinese restaurant will make you feel warm and cozy as you sip the Oolong tea and order one of their $7 lunch combos. Last time I was there, I got the egg drop soup and dumplings, while James had the sweet and sour chicken lunch combo (complete with fried rice and egg roll). Service is outstanding. In addition to delicious Chinese-American staples, they also have a traditional Szechuan menu for adventurous culture-seekers.
El Azteca
Clarksville, MD’s best Mexican restaurant. Possibly the best in Maryland. Beautiful decor complete with sparkling punched-tin lanterns. Fun, warm atmosphere perfect for all seasons, and great food. Tacos al Carbon are this girl’s favorite, washed down with a Margarita on the rocks.
